Applying

How much can I borrow?

You can apply for a personal loan between $200 and $5,000. The amount you are offered depends on your income, existing obligations, state of residence and other underwriting factors, so your offer may be lower than the amount you request.

How do I apply?

Choose an amount, enter basic personal and income details, verify your identity and bank account, then review your offer. You receive funds only after you review the full terms and choose to accept.

What do I need to apply?

Have a government-issued photo ID, details of your income, your checking account information, and a mobile number and email address you can access. You will also be asked for your Social Security number or ITIN to verify your identity.

How long does the application take?

Most people finish in a few minutes when their documents are ready. Your time may vary depending on how quickly you can verify your information.

Do I need to download an app?

No. The application runs in your mobile or desktop web browser, so there is nothing to download.

Costs

What is APR and why does it matter?

APR (annual percentage rate) expresses the yearly cost of borrowing, including interest and certain fees. Compare APR together with the monthly payment and the total amount you will repay.

What fees might I pay?

Your offer itemizes every fee before you accept. Fees can include a late fee and a returned payment fee. There is no origination fee and no prepayment penalty. Nothing is charged until you accept your offer.

Will I see the total cost before I accept?

Yes. Your offer shows the APR, any fees, the number of payments, the payment amount and the total you will repay. If it does not fit your budget, you can decline without obligation.

Why can the APR look high on a small loan?

APR annualizes the cost of borrowing. On short, small loans, even modest dollar costs can translate into a large percentage. That is why the dollar total and monthly payment are just as important to compare.

Is there a penalty for paying early?

There is no prepayment penalty on HFD Financing loans. Paying early can reduce the interest you pay. Your loan agreement states clearly whether any prepayment fee applies.

Approval & funding

What are the requirements to qualify?

Typical requirements include being the age of majority in your state, being a U.S. resident, having a verifiable source of income, an active checking account, and a mobile number and email address. Meeting them does not guarantee approval.

Does applying affect my credit score?

Checking your offers uses a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. A hard inquiry is made only if you choose to accept an offer. We will always tell you before any hard inquiry is made.

How quickly will I get my money?

Timing depends on when your application is completed and verified, your bank's processing schedule and whether you are approved. Many approved borrowers see funds as soon as the next business day after accepting an offer, though some banks take longer. Funds are not guaranteed by any specific time.

What if my application is not approved?

We will let you know. You may be entitled to a notice explaining the main reasons for the decision. You can apply again after 30 days.

Repayment

How do I make payments?

You can pay by debit card or bank transfer (ACH), or set up autopay. Your payment schedule is shown in your offer and in your account.

Can I set up automatic payments?

Yes. Autopay from your checking account is available and can be turned on or off in your account. Autopay can help you avoid missed payments.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Missing a payment may result in late fees and additional interest, and it may affect your credit. If you think you will have trouble paying, contact us before the due date to talk about your options.

Can I change my due date?

In many cases you can request a new due date once during your loan. If your pay schedule changes, contact support as early as possible.

What if I cannot afford my payment?

Contact us before the payment is due. Early conversations leave more options open. You can also seek free guidance from a non-profit credit counseling agency.

Security & scams

How is my personal information protected?

Information you send is encrypted in transit and stored with access controls, and we use trusted providers to verify identity. Read our Privacy Policy for how information is collected and used.

Will you ever ask me to pay a fee before I get my loan?

Be careful: legitimate lenders do not ask you to pay by gift card, cryptocurrency or wire transfer before funds are released. We never charge a fee before your loan is funded. If someone contacts you claiming to be HFD Financing and asks for this, do not pay and contact us at [email protected].

What is your official website?

Our official website is hfdfinancingapp.com. We do not operate any other websites or apps. Always check the web address before you enter personal information.
